“I am”


“Who am I?”-A question that can seem difficult to answer for some people. Sister daughter, and granddaughter are a few of the things that come to mind when thinking about me. Other items that come to mind are pianist, teacher, and hockey player.


Born and raised in the little town of Alexandria, I spent most of my early years and a private catholic school. I have two sisters, Lisa and Catherine. Lisa is soon-to-be and goes to school in Wisconsin. She is majoring in business and will have a minor in human resources. Catherine, Cat for short, is 11 years old and is a 6th grader at Lincoln Elementary. At the end of this year I will be graduating from high school, Lisa from college, and Cat from 6th grade. Busy spring for mom!


My parents are both successful entrepreneurs. My mom not only runs her insurance company, but also a busy household. My father is the owner of Remax Premiere Properties here in town, and is currently partners in the Sterling Pines development. Fulfilling the requirements of being the middle child. I have put them both through hell. But they are wonderful parents who have stuck by me through thick and thin. In this family we really come to appreciate the words “Unconditional Love”.

Weird obsessions. No matter if you admit them or not everyone has them. Mine? Old men. The older the better. My obsession started when I was a little girl. My grandpa and his nine hairs on top of his little head made me fall in love with old men. It’s probably a generalization that all old men are the sweetest creatures ever, but I don’t care. The more wrinkled they are the cuter!


Something else that stands out when I think Theresa Keenan is pianist. My parents made me take piano lessons when I was in nd grade. It was required by my parents for all us girls to take at least 4 years of lessons. I hated taking lessons and I hated playing the piano. But after four years, I found out that I loved the piano and that I really had a talent for it. I continued taking lessons for four more years. I don’t take lessons now but I still play and I love it. I think piano music is beautiful and is defiantly an escape from life for me. This will be my 10th year playing.


I said before that I was raised in a catholic school. Through all my troubled times growing up, the church kind of stuck with me. I started teaching rd graders their religion classes. I loved it! The second year I did nd grade and the third and fourth years I taught 1st. The first graders were my favorite class to teach. This will be my first year not teaching. Between work and school I’m just to busy for it. But I know already that I’m going to miss it.


“Girls can’t do guy things.” � One of the sayings I hate most. I love getting all dolled up to go out. More then half my closet is filled with dresses and skirts. One of my favorite hobbies is shopping, and I own 4 pairs of shoes! But; my favorite sport is hockey. I played it throughout high school and I love it. Some of my favorite memories are from being out on the ice. I think something that makes me unique from others, is that I love doing the unexpected. I love surprising people and I love proving those who say I can’t, wrong!


So who am I? I am Theresa Keenan, a sister, daughter, pianist, teacher and so much more! It’s a hard question to answer for some, but I know who I am.
