During the trial the judge did not allow any expert scientific testimony about evolution for the defense, so Darrow` s chief witness was Bryan because he had read the Bible for fifteen years. In the end, Darrow humiliated Bryan for his lack of knowledge about people, history, culture,etc. Darrow made Bryan look ridiculous and he was humiliated by him in public. He died just a few days after the trial. Scopes was found guilty and fined $100. However the whole nation watched with interest and they were pro-Scopes.
